STS gets Chromebooks!

St. Theresa School – Roll out Chrome books for each student grades K-8

On Monday February 9th, 2015, St. Theresa School rolled out chrome books for all students in Grades K-8. The pre-school class received a set of four chrome books that are placed in their technology center.

St. Theresa School a S.T.R.E.A.M.L.I.N.E (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, Math Learning In a Nurturing Environment) school applied and received Aloha Ike grant funds to implement a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) program beginning with teacher professional development training in how to use the chrome book, how to effectively integrate them into the curriculum and operations, and how to access Google Apps for Education. Collaboration, Communication, Curriculum and Transparency have been the themes of the implementation.

St. Theresa School offers an excellent academic program that is grounded in faith based Christian values. Small class sizes promote individualized instruction and the curriculum addresses the development of the whole child academically, socially, physically and spiritually. Students are also taught to give back to their community by participating in community service projects.

Implementing the chrome books school wide puts St. Theresa School well into 21st Century rigorous learning. Through the utilization of technology tools students will be provided with exciting and challenging curricula in STEM and Project based learning.
