PRESCHOOL: AGES 2-4

St. Theresa Catholic School and it's Early Learning Academy believes that an excellent academic and moral education is a gateway to fulfilling a bright future for our learners. St. Theresa School believes that a partnership is necessary in satisfying the responsibility of forming a child. We work with parents, our parish, and community to lead each child to his/her greatest potential. We recognize and respect each child as an individual as they become involved in and a part of our Christian community of learners. We strive to create opportunities in the environment that will challenge the children to problem-solve independently and socially as they gain understanding of the world around them. Play and the development of social competencies is the foundation for academic learning. It is through play and guided learning experiences in a Christian environment which encourages exploration, inquiry, discovery, creativity, and the use of technology, that children will build the skills necessary for future academic and life successes.

 

We provide a structured, safe, consistent, and nurturing environment for our youngest of learners to grow and achieve. By identifying and embracing each child's learning style, we are able to implement developmental, individual, and culturally relevant preschool experiences. The classroom spaces are sectioned into various learning centers that promote independence and cooperative learning opportunities in all subject areas.

 

Age Requirements

 

S.T.E.L.A. accepts children who are 2 years 8 months. Must be 3 year old by Dec 31st. All children are required to be potty trained before entering our preschool program.

 

Environment

 

STS Preschool staff are CDA certified and highly experienced in their field.  Teachers and aides receive ongoing professional development training and are dedicated to quality instruction.  Each classroom meets State guidelines for health and safety, and is inspected yearly.  

 

Hands on learning centers, technology, outdoor play areas, and a large campus to explore are all part of the full preschool experience at St. Theresa School.

7:30am to 2:30pm (Monday through Friday)
